Creating a Sensory Kitchen for Picky Eaters

Rebecca and Melanie

Melanie Potock , MA, CCC-SLP is an expert in feeding help for the picky eaters. Melanie has always been a forward thinker in ways to help expand picky eating. I admire her work and have attended several of her conferences. She has written several books on the topic and she is a well versed person on this topic! In this article she suggests that in order to create a secure feeding environment, we must start with preparing the child by nourishing their sight, taste, hearing, smell and feeling to the foods we are introducing to them. I suggest you read it if you have a picky eater in your household. She also has a great live podcast on Facebook every Monday and answers parent questions live. Feeding therapy can be an arduous challenge, but having a feeding specialist as a support system is a great resource.
